Connect to a remote computer through Netlinux Remote Access portal

How to connect to a remote computer using Netlinux's Remote Access Portal

This document will guide you through the process of connecting to a computer through our Remote Access Portal. Please refer to the appropiate section pertaining to the device you will use for remote access:

Windows

Go to the Netlinux Customer Remote Access Portal (You may also visit Netlinux's Homepage and click the blue Customer Remote Access button) and click Login in the top right corner.

You will then be prompted for credentials, please use the credentials provided by Netlinux OR Your Organization.

You may be prompted to input a code that was sent to your email address on file. Retrieve the 6-digit code and input it into the field (1). You may check the box "Trust this device" (2) to save your device for further logins (no code required for future logins). Click Login (3) after verifying the input.

Once logged in, click the Access link on the left hand side of the screen.

Once loaded, you should see your organization and a list of computers belonging to your organization.

 

Find the machine you would like to connect to and highlight it (one click on it) or select the checkbox (1) on the left of the entry to select the remote computer. Click Join (2) at the top of the screen and allow or open the connection if asked. 

 

NOTE: If this is your first time connecting to a computer through Netlinux's Remote Access Portal, then you will need to install the client onto the computer in front of you (the computer you will be accessing other computers with).

You will be prompted to download client a few seconds after clikcing Join. Please click Run or Save and then run the program when it is done downloading. Once the client installer is ran, the connection should complete and you should see the remote computer on your screen, it may take a minute or so for the connection to complete. You should see the remote computer's screen in front of you.

MacOS

 Go to the Netlinux Customer Remote Access Portal and click Login in the top right corner.

Linux

Android

Download and install the ConnectWise Control for Android app from the Google Play store.

After installation, tap on the ConnectWise Control icon to open the app. 

Once the App has launched, type in the text field: https://netlinux.screenconnect.com/

Tap HOST - GO TO YOUR ACCOUNT

The login page should appear, please use the credentials provided by Netlinux to access your account.

Once the page has loaded, tap Access on the left hand side. Tap your company name and location (if applicable). You will then have a list of machines avaiable for connection. Tap the one you want to connect to and tap the plug symbol near the top of the screen (in the red toolbar). Your session to the remote computer will appear on your screen.

iOS (iPhone/iPad)

ConnectWise Control® for iOS is available from the App Store. Go to the App Store and search for ConnectWise Control. NOTE: You will see two ConnectWise Control apps. One is Legacy for older Apple devices and one is newer. Try the normal ConnectWise Control app first, if that displays an error stating it's not compatible, then use the ConnectWise Control Legacy version, it will also work.

Once you have the ConnectWise Control app installed, open it and in the text box called ScreenConnect URL type https://netlinux.screenconnect.com/

Tap Go.

The login page should appear, please use the credentials provided by Netlinux to access your account. 

Once logged in, make sure you have selected the Access button on the left hand side. Tap your company name and location (if applicable) and the list of avaiable computers should appear. Tap on the one you would like to connect to and select the plug symbol near the top of the screen (in the red toolbar). Your session to the remote computer will appear on your screen.
